I guess the popularity of the non-denominational mega churches speak to this. People want the message and none of the politics and dogma.

My brother does not go to church, I guess he would identify himself as a non-denominational Christian, and he as a great way of expressing what exactly it is about organized, traditional denominations that does not work for him. I have to admit, I find myself agreeing with him as I have difficulty identifying with a particular denomination. A single Christian church might be a good idea.

Another great one. I think of Jack Nicholson every time I hear Pilate's question. The further removed we are from the truth, the easier it is to ignore.

Sounds like you have as much turmoil as we do in the states. I am afraid ours has just begun. Keep us posted on the outcome of your problem up there.

Don't know enough about Iggy yet. Seems pretty stoic for the most part so far. Guess we'll wait and see. However he does seem to have the respect of many people, so leadership may be a quality of his. Time will tell.

What do you think of Michael Ignatieff?

Harper is no different then other leaders in the past...although how many have tried to cripple the opposition like he did a couple of weeks ago and thereby starting this mess. A period to cool down may help but time will tell. (my twitchiness regarding the conservative party may be contributing to my skepticism)

I don't know if prayer is even powerful enough to deal with the egos in Ottawa :)

"It came out alright."

A very modest answer but that was an excellent article and I think you are doing a wonderful thing there. My prayers will be with you in your new endeavor. Good Luck!

I have to agree. This is about the athletes and not about China. It's too bad it is in China, I guess, but that's really beside the point. Regardless of where it is, it's about the friendly competition.

It's really too bad the Iranian wouldn't swim with the Israeli. Even the Georgian and Russian athletes embraced when they both won medals. Why can't we all just love one another like we were commanded.
